Post-test analysis typically includes measurement of contact resistance, insulation resistance, and visual inspection for corrosion products. Proper fixturing and electrical biasing during testing can provide more realistic results for connector applications.

Sample preparation is critical — parts should represent production conditions, including any secondary operations such as machining or assembly. Multiple replicates and consistent monitoring intervals help establish statistical confidence. For high-reliability applications, combining salt spray with temperature-humidity cycling or mixed flowing gas testing provides a more comprehensive assessment of long-term reliability.
