Five 490 × 1040 mm sheets cover the same 1040 × 2480 mm surface with 20,480 points. Fewer seams run across the measured area, which is what matters when the pressure field is continuous and a seam would cut through the region you are trying to read.
Each long sheet still carries a 4096-point matrix, so its pitch along the long axis is coarser than 7.6 × 8.1 mm. Each sheet also needs two PXS064mini collectors, one per half, which keeps the device count at ten.
